Learning through Play
Play helps young children to learn and develop through doing and talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children think.
Our setting uses the Early Years Foundation Stage development matters guidance plan and provides a range of activities which help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development.

- Provide high quality education for children primarily below stautory school age.
- Work to the EYFS.
- Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develp.
- Add to life and well being of it’s local community.
- Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equally and values diversity.
Nursery Opening Times
First Friends is open for Morning and Afternoon sessions.
The times are 8.30am-11.30am & 12.30pm-3.30pm TERM TIMES. We also offer lunch time care for the 1 hour between sessions, the children will need to bring a packed lunch in a named lunchbox with them to eat at this time.
We encourage healthy eating and suggest that the lunchbox does not contain sweets or chocolate.
We provide care and education for young children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 4.
ATTENDING FIRST FRIENDS NURSERY DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR CHILD A RECEPTION PLACE AT BELLE VUE PRIMARY SCHOOL.
WE RUN INDEPENDENTLY FROM THE SCHOOL.
